Best Cooking Tip from Mom:  Marinate chicken in soy sauce, garlic, green onions and oyster sauce for the best flavour.
Best Cooking Tip from Dad:  Wonton dumplings are done when they float to the surface.
Best Fat Food:  Anything deep fried.
Best Comfort Food:  I’ve got 3 top faves… ma po tofu, steamed eggs with shrimp and scallions spooned over rice, Shepherd’s Pie.
Worse Childhood Food:  Fish eyes & beef tendon.
Worse Thing Ever Eaten:  Fish eyes & beef tendon, hands down!
Worse Cooking Chore:  Peeling the tough vein off sweet peas and peeling shrimp prior to cooking.
First Cooking Catastrophe:  Age 9; burned the sugar while trying to make syrup and set the pot on fire.
First Recipe Gone Wrong:  Age 13, overdosed the seafood pasta with white wine. Everything tasted like alcohol.
First Hit Recipe: Age 15, made a dressed-up Kraft mac & cheese with chicken marinated in soy sauce, garlic, green onions and oyster sauce.
First Realization of Loving to Cook:  When my brother asked me to make my mac & cheese a few more times.
